Biography
Dealie Hairston Dealie Hairston was born May 15, 1946 in Henry county Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Desmond Hairston and the late Molly Joe Wilkerson. As a young girl she worked in the fields picking tobacco to help her mother with the family. In 1958 Dealie's family relocated to Steelton Pennsylvania. She graduated from John Harris Highschool, and went to Attend Howard University in Washington D.C. She was employed at the aspen center in Harrisburg P,A , and was well adored and loved by patients and staff. Dealie was also the founder of The Grace Lights, a gospel singing group. Dealie passed away Thursday April 19, 2007 from a heart attack. Along with a life and legacy of greatness, she left behind her children , Marlayna Banks of York Pa, Jim Hairston, Joe Hairston, Lashawn Hairston, Kevin Hairston, And Rickie Hairston, all of Harrisburg Pa. 40 grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews and nephews. She was loved and will be well missed.
