Mr. Thompson died Monday, May 28, 2001. Born in Fort Bragg, N.C., he was a son of Edna Shealy Thompson and the late Arthur Austin Thompson Sr. He was a member of Gantt Street Baptist Church and employed with W.M. Fields Co
