It was a long time ago, but I seem to recall that Aldo has two sisters: Nancy Beata, Diana Beata, and a brother Named: Rigoberto Beata. They all lived in Inwood in Manhattan. Somewhere near Dykman St.
A good buddy of mine. We attended George Washington HS in Manhattan NYC. He was an introspective intelligent handsome tall athletic guy of Central American extraction who never quite fit in his surroundings but went about his business creating no trouble for the rest. He found a kindred spirit in me. I went off to college circa 1979 to Stony Brook after spending 2 years out of H. S. in NYC. We would see each other in Manhattan often and take long walks. He would visit my place regularly and he became a friend of my roommate Paul Hinkle. When I left for college I lost track of him since Paul Hinkle moved to Texas, and upon graduating learned, from whom I took to be his sister, via a phone call to his number that he had committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his apartment building in Manhattan after slicing his arteries. In retrospect it all makes sense and in my analysis unjust social norms and expectations were the cause.
